…I must say that with the trepidation that came with the previous three of the five shards I was pleased by working with the fourth. I dubbed this one the Shard of Life. Surprising as it was I sooner realized that it could have devilish outcomes if used in specific manners but I found some of the results of the experiments entertaining and must say that my ottoman now makes for a very playful and loyal pet. This fourth shard has the ability to imbue animation and even a type of life to those things that do not or perhaps should not posses it. Objects of an inanimate nature. True we did have a a bit of scuffle with a wardrobe and a chair which did not seemed very pleased by our presence once brought life but for the most part the effects seem interesting and not as trepadatious as the previous. I did experiment a bit with things that were already living, plants, animals and such but it did not seem to have much of an effect though I did notice in some cases a remarkable increase in intelligence occurred. I was apt to keep this one for my collection but after a drunken night with my old friend Felkir who being of celestial nature is prone to diatribes of what is “right” had convinced my to work with him to find the “proper” place for an item of such significance. Felkir knew of a creature he referred to only as “the Light”. I gleaned that this creature perhaps was an emissary of the Lord of Good themselves. Felkir hinted that the Light travels between our world and a world very closely connected to ours. A plain of pure Life. I gathered form his hints that this maybe the fabled Positive Energy Plane. Indeed form the way Felkir was carrying on it almost seemed like he was hinting that shard maybe of that plane itself. Very well I agreed. After several long years of experimenting, travels and negotiations four of the shards had made their way to places of which we felt were the safest for them. Now with the last…..
