The portal is locked into a location within the hex but its exact activity cycle is unknown. Fey have been seen moving freely into and out of the location at random times. The portal itself is mostly invisible to the naked eye but can be detected with magical sight. Though the air around the portal is “charged” with a unique energy. Plants near the portal seem to thrive and animal life is abundant.

The portal seems to lead to another plane knows as the Feywilde.

The Feywild, also known as the plane of Faerie, exists as an “echo” of the Prime Material Plane. It is from here that the fey originate, giving the Feywild its name, and it is also a place of unusually potent magic.
